Created in Annam, Vietnam during the 19th century, this ceramic garden stool, features a circular top presenting a 12.25 inches diameter with nicely weathered appearance, sitting above a tapering neck. The central protruding section is adorned with floral motifs. The bottom part is hexagonal and decorated with a similar décor. The entire stool is covered with a green glaze contrasted with black touches the more the eye goes down. Revealing the long Vietnamese ceramic tradition, particularly in the Annam province, an area heavily influenced - and once ruled by - China, this hour-glass shaped garden seat with verde patina and floral décor from the 19th century will make for a great addition to any home, perhaps placed in a garden or a patio where it could also be used as a drinks table.
