Pair of Swedish Girandoles of Gustavian style, crafted with cobalt blue ovoid shafts resting on a white marble base. These elegant two-piece girandoles feature two brass candleholders with delicately scrolled brass arms, each supporting cascades of hand-cut antique crystals. The cobalt glass adds a vivid pop of color, while the crystals provide shimmering ambient light. Rising from the center is a graceful array of this brass stems, also hung with sparkling crystals, and topped by a charming gilt brass crescent moon finial. Crescent moon finials are a traditional decorative element on Swedish candle holders.
Girandoles were valued for their ability to multiply candlelight through reflective glass and crystal. In today's interiors these can add a sophisticated and charming sparkle to entry consoles, dining room sideboards, mantels, vanities, or any Swedish, neoclassical, romantic, or eclectic interior.
