Bronze Plaque "Theophile Roussel School" by Daniel Dupuis c.1893
Rare bronze plaque commemorating the foundation of the Theophile Roussel School in Paris in 1893.
Created by the French sculptor Daniel Dupuis (1849-1899)
Personification of Paris standing on the right, supervising two apprentices working on a trade.
A winged victory, holding a torch, flies over the buildings of the school.
A fantastic French bronze.
Dimensions 3 1/4" x 2 1/2".
Very good condition.
