It is a large 19th-Century authentic handcrafted and hand painted jar. These old jars were used to preserve foods. It has 2 charming handles, called 'ears'. This jar is heavy, weighing a substantial 6-l/2 pounds. It is perfect in a traditional, contemporary or rustic design, lovely placed on a table filled with fresh flowers.
