This rare first edition vintage 1962 large format hardcover collector's photogravure print antiquities art history book titled " A Time Of Gods - A Photographer In The Wake Of Odysseus " is an incredibly special and unusual rare book to add to your library collection.
The large format hardcover photography book with dust jacket is printed in England in 1962 by The Viking Press New York. It features the photographer Roloff Beny's outstanding photographs in his personal vision of Odysseus's journey accompanied by excerpts from Chapman's Homer. The luxury level printing and presentation on beautiful heavyweight papers includes 148 gorgeous photogravure plates. The large page prints are suitable for framing.
The rare 1st edition book measures 11" W X 12 1/2" H X 1 1/2" D, with 272 pages. It is in good vintage condition consistent with age an use.
