For your consideration we are presenting for sale this fantastic Vintage heavily textured impressionist abstract oil painting on Masonite panel depicts a Champs Elysees Paris, France. Signed lower right side corner by VAN HOOPLE painted this immensely popular Parisian street scenes.C,1970's. It has been mounted in a wooden frame with a hanging wire attached to the reverse side.

This is a beautiful piece, so rich with life and texture.

VAN HOOPLE

VAN HOOPLE was born in Chicago, but is a California artist. He worked for Paramount Studios in Hollywood and was an apprentice of Cecil B. Demilles and scene director P.T. Blackburn. He was exclusively contracted to Hillside Galleries starting in 1957. His work is notably recognized throughout the U.S. and has recently become more recognized throughout the world. His paintings are characterized by deep, high relief, impasto where the paint appears cut by a knife. His work is classic mid-century, perfectly blending with interiors and decor of the time. See less
