This beautiful imperial folio size 19th century steel engraving depicts architectural details of the Palais de Fontainebleau. Engravers at times literally went blind after a lifetime of intricate engraving. The images in this series are printed on heavy "wove" paper on one side only. They will make quite a statement, especially when grouped.
