Beautiful original oil on canvas by listed artist Robert Knudson (b.1929)
Dimensions 20" x 30". The original frame measures 37" x 27".
Signed lower right corner. Very good vintage condition.
A graduate of the Minneapolis Art Museum School in 1950, Robert Knudson is a painter of Western scenes including landscapes and Native Americans. He has works in the Museum of Northern Arizona and William Penn Memorial Museum.
"What I try to get in my paintings is the quality of light. Light defines drama and contrast. To me it parallels life, highlights many thoughts about principles of change, survival, eternality. Light sets the mood, the dynamic to any moment on the ladnscape and suggests a grand theme" - Artist Statement.
