The lower part forming a drop-leaf desk, has a door with its original hinges and rests on a platform. In the upper part, the pediment is formed of an exceptional scene of crucifixion in marquetry, remarkably executed, representing Christ on the cross with at his feet, the virgin married in prayer and Saint John. The whole scene is surmounted by a crowned sky, retaining a curtain drape. The marquetry panel is inserted in two Classic columns.
This doratory type was placed in the rooms of manors and castles and served as a private chapel,
