The tailored design includes slotted vertical back splats housed in a framework that includes an upper crosspiece pierce-carved with teardrop and diamond shapes, highlighted with a gold border. Crosses, circles, slots and dovetails are also cut through the seatback for an intriguing visual effect, all enhanced by the patinaed and slightly distressed painted finish, which pervades the entire design. Armrests are artfully designed and include pads for comfort. Tapered legs include fluting with gold highlighting on the front legs for added panache.
