Exquisitely hand-crafted in France in the late 19th / early 20th century, most likely Parisian work, exceptionally executed in opulent 18th century King Louis XVI taste, featuring a high-quality solid wood frame with remnants of gilt paint and beautifully aged distressed patina that adds to the character and charm, having a carved foliate crest, over later red damask upholstered back and seat, acanthus leaf scroll decorated upholstered armrests, over elegantly curved scalloped apron with foliated accents, rising on eight squared tapered legs. circa 1900
