Its made from a cast of a real human skull, probably female, and is complete with teeth, lower- and upper jaw. This particular example shows patina and ware. It has been polished over the spand of time and the silver plating has worn of especially to one side and around the mouth. The skull as a symbol serves as a reminder of human mortality - memento mori. Indistinguishable marked, possibly by Maxilla and Mandible Ltd. New York. Measurements: 21 x 14 x 11 cm. See less
