Offered is a deep brown glazed ceramic pitcher from Leroux Liqueurs Company with its original stopper. The inverted cone shape manages to be traditional and classic while modernist with its details. Perfect for an extended brewed morning coffee serving, to double up on your morning tea, or as originally intended, to hold an after dinner cordial liqueur for guests. The original stopper is bakelite with the brand name and cork.
The Leroux Liqueur Company was founded in the 19th century in Brussels, Belgium. After prohibition they began operating Lerous & Co. Inc. in Philadelphia, United States. Seagrams purchased the company in 1940.
Measures 7.5" tall, 5.25" base diameter, 4.75" wide from tip of spout to handle, 2.5" top diameter, .75" diameter at stopper opening, .5" opening at spout.
