Very elegant and genuin 1950ies metal counter balance wall light, designed by hoogervorst for the famous anvia lighting company. Matt black shade and details, matt chrome bar ( old edition ).
thanks to the metal swinging arm suspension the light can be directed in almost all positions. The black knob makes it very easy to adjust the light in a second!
documented as model 7105 in the fifties anvia catalogue ( page 12 ) and also pictured in the goed wonen deco magazine of that time.
the fifties anvia designs are clearly influenced by the designs of sarfatti, stilnovo and cosack
designer j. Hoogervorst can been mentioned together with famous dutch designers cees braakman and wim rietveld.
good condition and in perfect working order, wiring has been replaced ( 4 meter cable! ) and all electrical parts have been checked. Comfortable switch in the wire. Bulbholder normal e 27, suitable for modern led bulbs. No denting, flaking or scratches, minimal marks.
