Michael Taylor for Baker Furniture Co. China Cabinet, from the New World Collection. This piece has adjustable shelves on the top half of the cabinet with exposed display niches. The cabinet has integrated lighting (just rewired with LED for greater efficiency). The rest of the cabinet is in very good original condition. The lower half of the cabinet has three drawers, three cabinet doors and shelves behind the doors. There is some variation in color of the wood..
Michael Taylor was a major Interior Designer in California and played an especially important role in creating the "California" style. His designs often were influenced by his travels. In this case, Asia was the influence. This is a stunning mid-century piece that offers ample display as well as extensive interior storage.
