The upper part of the piece is structured as a bookcase with two glass doors, inside there are two wooden shelves for books,
and in the lower part there are four drawers, the upper one housing a desk with drawers and compartments.
The piece, made of solid wood, has a carved top and two carved bookcase doors, as well as two columns flanking the four drawers. All the carving is in the Indian style with palmette, ovule, fret, and vegetation motifs.
The piece rests on four pinecone-shaped legs and is constructed in three parts: bookcase, two drawers, and two lower drawers.
The drawers have brass boat-shaped handles.
