This one-of-a-kind mid-size rustic style table lamp is made from an antique hand-crafted brass urn with a drum-like shape, understood … Read more This one-of-a-kind mid-size rustic style table lamp is made from an antique hand-crafted brass urn with a drum-like shape, understood to have originated in Colonial India during the early part of the 20th century, although possibly during the very late 19th century. The lamp was custom made from this unique brass container in the late 1950's and presumably in the U.S.

The aged patina of this antique vessel paired with the contrasting espresso-black finished metal base are well complemented by the tapered 'racetrack' style natural textured burlap shade which was custom made several years ago to replace the similar but worn original custom made shade. Together they provide a most unique and special lighting element that looks striking in an array of casual slanting interior settings and styles.
