Up for your consideration is a truly sensational, highly decorative pair of vintage Mid-Century Modern Hollywood Regency ceramic cherub table lamps. Sourced from a premier northeastern Pennsylvania estate, this authentic matching pair beautifully captures the whimsical luxury of mid-century Italianate design.
Each lamp features a heavily modeled, creamy white ceramic pedestal column enveloped in sculpted floral vine work and foliage, upon which a classical cherub or putti figure perches. The columns support magnificent, matching spherical globes adorned with a hand-painted gold gilt starburst/sunburst matrix, with each star centered by a dimensional, ruby red glass or lucite cabochon jewel bead. When lit, the composition creates a striking, atmospheric glow.
