The rolling pin measures 11 ¾ inches long with a metal loop on one end for hanging; and is divided into 4 sections, the outer two being grooved like a Lefse rolling pin. The left center space has one carved stylized shield and the right center space has a carved stylized decorative flower. Handles have scribe lines on ends. Sections are separated by 5 tin cutting wheels to mark off rows. Edges on tin markers have some denting from age and use. A design patent #9,532 was granted to John Holt, Gardner, ME on Dec. 10, 1861. The rolling pin is in very good age-related condition with deep maple color and good patina. It’s a pretty neat piece.
