A very good copy of this scarce, fragile book, with some light soiling to covers, endpapers slightly separated as often, otherwise about as fine an example as one is likely to find given the cover material.

FIRST EDITION. This major retrospective exhibition was held September 25th to November 23rd 1969. The catalogue designed by Chermayeff & Geismar Associates is a work of art in itself, from its innovative cover proudly highlighting the work of curator Barbara Rose, to the profusion of illustrations, both documentary of Oldenburg and his artistic peers and representative of his large body of work.
