Exquisitely hand-crafted in France in the mid-19th century, exceptionally executed Boulle style marquetry work inlays add rich color, warmth and depth, the rotating top opening to inset green baize felt playing surface, revealing large storage compartment divided interior case with scalloped apron, rising on cabriole legs mounted with ornate patinated bronze figural Neoclassical female caryatids, ending in deer hoof sabots.
