PRICE REDUCED! Over 28 people have liked this painting, be the one to own it! This lovely gouache and pastel on paper is a combination of painting and drawing. Layer after layer of color was applied to achieve the three dimensional impression of this wonderful and happy bird. The paper is a hand dyed paper from France, each piece of paper is unique. The bird belongs to a friend and that made it all the more fun to draw and paint this artwork. The bird was the model and having her in front of me brought much joy and understanding of this wonderful animal. A gold leaf medallion encircles the head to show how special the bird is. Choose your frame to go with your decor.
I love bright colors and the ability to create layers in pastel and gouache is a lot of fun. Animals are one of my favorite subjects to paint.
