Ceramic vase produced in Belgium by the Boch Frères Keramis earthenware at the end of the 19th century. Founded in 1841 by Eugène and Victor Boch, the Keramis factory, a flagship of Belgian industry, is known for its important productions and collaborations with the art workshops of department stores.
This ovoid belly vase, with narrowing and slightly concave downwards, has decorations in relief of flowers and foliage, in polychrome enamels on a blue background of Sèvres.
The collar and mouth are dressed in a gilded, openwork and chiseled bronze strapping, with patterns of lily flowers.
Its seat, also in bronze, is decorated with scrolls, acanthe leaves and devil heads on each foot.
This vase, marked BFK 158 under the bottom, will attract attention through the depth and contrast of its colors.
