Balustrous vase in blue ceramic of Sèvres, with ovoid belly, resting on a pedestal with annular seat.
Nicely decorated with gilded bronze, this vase is cherubs in coaches, summoned with knots in the Napoleon III taste and garnished with plants, as well as intertwined torches of laurel crowns.
On one of the compositions, the child releases a bird from his cage in order to carry a message, while on the other, the volatile arrives at the recipient to fulfill his mission. These two scenes are underlined by two scalloped belts and shaped in brass.
The collar is continuous and the mouth slightly flared.
The lip and the base are also embellished with thick golden border.
This vase with the contrasting shade will appeal in particular for his poetic spirit.
