Jane R. Hofstetter is an artist, art juror and popular workshop instructor for over 35 years and currently teaches painting workshops throughout the United States and abroad. She often wins national art awards and is an elected member of The National Watercolor Society, Watercolor West, The National Transparent Watercolor Society, and many others. Her book “Seven Keys To Great Painting” (2004) has been printed in 5 languages and is used in many college art departments. Her work has appeared often in art books and publications including Watercolor Magic and International Artist magazines, The Collected Best of Watercolor (Rockport Publishers, 2002) and North Light’s Splash series. Jane had a fifty-painting retrospective exhibit at the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, California. In November of 2010, Jane’s “Civil War Days” was accepted into the Salmagundi Club’s “Art in the Americas” show in New York. Jane also won the top award for her “Spring Miracle” watercolor in the Missouri National Watercolor Annual. She studied at the University of California – Berkeley and Los Angeles and Chouinard Art Institute. See less
