This matched set of ‘Memoirs by Harry S. Truman’ recount the president’s experiences from 1945-1952. Author’s signature facsimile in silver in the cover of each book. The first book ‘Year of Decisions’ tells his story in his words following the death of FDR. This is likely a first edition print of this book. The second book, ‘Years of Trial and Hope’ recalls that being president is “like riding a tiger. A man has to keep on riding or be swallowed.” Part of the Book-of-the-Month Club selection in the mid-1950s and an early edition print. The book jackets are worn and torn, and there are some slightly worn edges to the book. That said, these are still very readable and would look excellent on any shelf. Perfect for any history lover.
