Artist Biography
Edgar Martin Keller (1868 - 1932) was active/lived in California.He is known for Landscape, portrait, illustrator, etcher.Painter, etcher, sculptor, illustrator. Born in Crescent City, CA on Sept. 12, 1868. Keller turned to art in 1907 and had successful shows in the East. After moving to southern California in 1912, he lived briefly in San Diego and then settled in Los Angeles. He illustrated children's books and exhibited locally before his death there on Jan. 10, 1932. Exh: PPIE, 1915; Modern Art Society (LA), 1916; Painters & Sculptors of LA, LACMA, 1924, 1931; Calif. Art Club, 1920s. In: Douglas Memorial Bridge (Kiamath River, OR) and Donner Summit Bridge (bronze tablets); Santa Fe Railway. AAW; SCA; AAA 1913-32.
