Big art makes quite the statement. This wonderful geometric, abstract painting is a large scale oil on canvas, mounted on wood board. The layered subtle color changes, within each color-blocked shape and throughout the piece, contrast nicely with the clean, straight lines, angles, and curved arc, creating an effect of art within the art. Signed, titled, and dated on verso.
About the Artist:
Active as an artist in geometric abstract style in southern California, Jerry Bryd was born in Fullerton, California and earned an MFA degree from the University of California at Irvine. His paintings are in the A T & T building in San Francisco and the IBM building in San Jose. He has also illustrated a college algebra textbook for MacMillan Publications. He has held a Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts.
