This has all the characteristics of hand blown glass - tiny bubbles, wavy-ness, slight imperfections. Painted scene is beautiful! I believe this is a very rare piece, I was not able to find another like it

9 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" wide x 8" across including handle

Open Pontil Mark - which dates this to 1870 or earlier

The bottom has a "blow pipe or open pontil " mark, which is a distinctive ring shaped scar that is sharp edged, hollow in the middle, and round to slightly oval, circumstantial proof that one blowpipe was usually used for both blowing and empontilling

Excellent Antique Condition - No cracks, chips or repairs - The gilding along the outer edge of the ruffles has worn mostly off - Painting is in excellent condition See less
