A Chinese Emperor Statue, Asian Art, Sculpture, Figurine, Unusual Objects, Chinoiserie, Ornate Decor, Collectible.
Hand carved Emperor is depicted seated on throne in relief carved royal robe. The Emperor is shown clutching his imperial beaded necklace and wearing dragon robe with dragon throne. Finely carved throughout with high attention to detail.
Beautifully carved in lime plaster.
From a private collection in France ca. 1960.
Color ivory-ash-gray with some insertions of smoky charcoal.
Condition: excellent vintage. Some discoloration and fading on the decoration inherent with time and display.
Dimensions: 7 ¾” H x 3 ½” W (20 cm x 9 cm).
