Each was hand embroidered on silk using a combination of satin and couching stitches.
and a combination of silk and metallic threads.
Both the quality of materials and the quality of the embroideries indicate that these rondels were from a wealthy household .


the 2 larger rondels measure 5.75 inches across the diameter.
the smaller one with the donkey (my personal favorite is slightly smaller measuring 5.25 inches...
