Take a step back in time with this stunning antique drop leaf table, most likely from the American Southern states in the 1820s. The tabletop is constructed from solid mahogany with a banded edge, while the apron and legs feature intricate banded geometric fruitwood inlay. The legs have a beautiful medallion rosette on the top, with bell flowers cascading down the legs, adding an extra touch of elegance to the piece.
Although originally part of a 3 piece set, with 2 demi-lune tables that could attach to this center drop leaf, the accompanying pieces were separated generations ago.
The table dimensions when closed are approximately Height 29 3/4 inch, Length 42 inch, and Depth 24 inch. The table length with one side up is about 42 1/4 inch and with both sides up is about 60 1/2 inch, making it a versatile addition to any home.
