This particular print and the others in the series are from original watercolors by Henry Shields, which depict yachts of the late 19th century's growing moneyed class under sail on the River Clyde in Glasgow, Scotland. Developed in the early 19th century and patented in 1837, chromolithography captures the feel, subtleties, and texture of watercolor paintings. "Ina" is plate signed by Henry Shields, and the print's title and plate number, printed on the bottom margin below the field of the actual print, are hidden by the matte that frames the print, which measures approximately 8 x 11 inches.
