Fantastic 1960s Large-Scale Coffee Pot and Serving Platter by Sascha Brastoff in "Surf Ballet" in RARE White & Platinum Pattern. These beautiful pieces are in wonderful condition and are signed by the artist. Host a High Tea or simply enjoy coffee on the back terrace with this marvelous mid-century set. Adding to the beauty of these pieces is the white& platinum swirl/splatter/splash "Surf Ballet" pattern -- which is harder to find these days -- throughout and evokes long summers on the beaches of the Mediterranean or yachting in the Caribbean. These pieces are perfect for a birthday brunch, garden party or an New Year's Day recovery party.

Sascha Brastoff (October 23, 1918 - February 4, 1993) was one of the iconic mid-century designers decorative accessories, ceramics, enamels on copper, and plastics. He headed a ceramics studio and his factory, Sascha Brastoff of California, Inc., in West Los Angeles. Pieces signed with the signature Sascha Brastoff were his personal works. Other pieces marked "Sascha B." or with a stamped mark were made by his proteges at the company. Brastoff made hand-painted vases, bowls, ashtrays, dinnerware, treasure boxes and figurines with his trademark overglaze gold trim and flamboyant decorations.
