a functional design. The simple umbrella shape is broken up by an additional cathedral on the top. A very subtle, decorative element on this very simple lamp. The umbrella is connected to the shaft via a screw with a flat head. The shaft ends in a simple plate foot.
there is a hole on the back at the bottom of the shaft, which is currently without function. That was the original cable outlet because the lamp was previously equipped with an intermediate cord switch. In 1953 a practical pressure switch was used on the foot. Incidentally, this is documented very precisely on the inside of the cover of the foot.
the lamp seems to be a former authority lamp and is stamped on the underside with "stadtwerke würzburg". I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
