These magnificent embroideries, preserved from the 1990s come from the Kutch region of Gujarat in India. Historically, it is said that Kutch embroidery was brought about by 'Kathi cattle breeders who were brought by the mythological figure 'karma' from Mahabharata. Eventually, these wanderers settled down and produced some fine needlework. The art form became a vocation for women of Kutch which became a generational art with the skills taught from mother to daughter. The signature effect of the colorful embroidery sparkles when small mirrors called able are sewn over the designs. A lot of the Kutch embroidery is influenced by various architectural designs and motifs. The embroidered cloths are used for festive occasions and to decorate deities, therefore animals and figures of Indian Gods and Goddesses find a prominent place in the design.
Uses-
This textile can be used in many ways like runners and wall hangings to spruce up your decor. In addition to that, you can repurpose these textiles to make a range of objects like clothes, belts, yoga mats, cushions, bedcovers, purses, throws, bags, curtains.
Care-
-These textiles are sensitive and recommended dry clean only. All our pieces come pre-checked and dry-cleaned and ready to use.
-Please note that these textiles might have slight blemishes, minor wear and tear in stitches due to their age.
-The mirrors are genuine and not imitations and might have acquired scratches over a period of time.
-The textile is 30-40 years old and has traveled for and wide, due to their nomadic creators.
-The minor imperfections are the heart, soul, and history of these old and rare collectible textiles.
-We are fortunate to be able to offer you a wide range of Indian handmade vintage textiles. This is hard work of Indian artisans for decades

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).
- On approved returns, the buyer is responsible for the full cost of return packing and shipping.
Cancellations
- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.
- Please notify us within 24 hours of purchase if you would like to cancel an order, as prompt cancellation will reduce the likelihood that you will incur return shipping charges.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.
- Shipping charges start at $799 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.

- Chairish In-Home Delivery
