This vintage 5x8 piece is a rare mid-century Persian horse cover—handmade with felt wool circa 1950-1960.
Items like these are extremely collectible—once used to keep high-value horses warm after their races. Its design favors beige and off-white notes, as well as polychromatic embroidery with navy blue and red notes therein. Keen eyes will admire the play of these textures together—a beautiful marriage of gentle sheen and high-and-low geometric patterns.
This vintage Persian horse cover further enjoys good condition for its age and origin. It’s well-suited for the floor as a rug, and is equally appropriate for wall-hanging in its many decorative applications.

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.
- Please notify us within 24 hours of purchase if you would like to cancel an order, as prompt cancellation will reduce the likelihood that you will incur return shipping charges.

- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
