Transit with Tripod and Case. Precision instrument for land surveying. Includes oak tripod with leather strap and buckle, oak case with leather carrying strap and transit Serial #15088. Berger noted that it was "designed for engineering work of a high class, such as is required in bridge building, water works, and for city and land surveying." Shows appropriate wear from age. This totally functional piece of history would look great in an office or library or as an accent piece in any room.

Assembled on tripod, the dimensions are 69" H x approximately 26" in diameter. The tripod measures 28" H x 5" in diameter and weighs 12 lbs. The case is 15" H x 10 1/2" W x 9" D and weighs 22 pounds with the transit inside. See less
