Lovely antique mahogany console table in the Edwardian style, in the manner of pieces produced by Maple & Co.....very nice … Read more Lovely antique mahogany console table in the Edwardian style, in the manner of pieces produced by Maple & Co.....very nice quality, with a matching gallery back, and beautiful inlaid design surrounding the table top.....a large center drawer, and a solid wood lower shelf that spans the entire footprint of the top, the table offers quite a lot of storage.....the build quality is excellent, and despite the piece's age, it's very solid and sturdy.....the mahogany wood is beautiful----rich, deep color, with the striations in the grain that makes older mahogany pieces so desirable.....while the table is in excellent shape structurally, it does show some wear to the top surface, as well as some minor dings and nicks around the lower legs, and a little bit on the gallery back (photo 9).....there are two areas on the top surface where the veneer has a hairline split (photo 7), and the drawer bottom has a sliver of wood missing (photo 8).....these minor cosmetic issues certainly don't stand out, or overshadow the overall beauty of the table, but are worth mentioning nonetheless.....in all, a versatile, great looking antique piece that'd work beautifully as an entry or hall table, a console/sofa table, or even a writing desk.....
