Vintage Middle Eastern Arabian Tinned Copper Dallah Coffee Pot with a Unique Rattan Wrapped Handle. A beautiful aged patina characterizes this hand-hammered, Moorish coffee pot which is a mainstay in the Arabic culture. A conversation piece that will lend a collected aura to any decor.
The history behind tinned copper which is copper coated by tin, a base alloy, stems from the fact that though copper has many beneficial characteristics which make it highly desirable it does have short comings. Tinning strengthens the copper’s natural properties, making it better equipped to resist humidity, high temperatures and wet environments.
