They represent Art Deco revival at its very finest, incorporating the timeless modernist forms of the 1930s in a fresh and forward looking way to create an aesthetic all its own. The iron body features for stepped legs with three right angled tiers that ascent upwards in a straight line before narrowing into matching stepped skyscraper forms at its neck all in black enameled iron to create elegant minimalist homage to the American skyline. Their silhouette recalls that of the Empire State building in New York City, one of Manhattan's most iconic buildings. With its skyscraper detailing throughout, and architectonic form, these lamps embody the dynamism and excitement of the birth of modernism.
