This elmwood and brass kitchen chest is just stunning. Lots of storage opportunities! This chest was used to store bowls, dishes, spoons, etc. in the scholar's house. The topmost compartment doors fold out to reveal a beautiful set of sliding glass doors decorated with stone-powder paint. This piece was found in the Gyeongsang province, dating later in the Yi dynasty - around the 1860s.
The topmost storage is 39" W x 16" D x 18" H, with a center shelf. The middle and bottom storage is 39" W x 16" D x 15.5" H and openings of 22"w x 10.5" H. There are 4 smaller drawers that measure 8" W x 16" D x 2" H.
