A charming mid-century European watercolor capturing a tranquil harbor scene at Oostende, Belgium. Two elegant sailboats rest quietly along the quay, their reflections shimmering across the glassy water, while classic stone buildings and towers rise beyond the wharf. Signed Dufresle Noël and dated 1952 in the lower right corner, with “Oostende” noted at lower left. The soft washes of blue and warm earth tones are accented by confident ink lines, giving the piece an inviting, slightly impressionistic quality that suits coastal, European cottage, and French country interiors alike.
Presented under glass in its original simple oak frame and cream mat, which shows age-appropriate wear consistent with mid-century framing. The painting itself is in lovely vintage condition with minor foxing and toning typical for its age—nothing that detracts from its charm or display. A delightful glimpse of a Belgian port that brings a touch of old-world atmosphere to any wall.
Will be professionally packaged by UPS to help ensure its safe arrival at its new home. Please message me if you have any questions.

Two corners of the original oak frame were professionally repaired, and the frame itself has been fully refurbished with new glass for a fresh, secure presentation. Minor age-appropriate wear remains on the wood, consistent with its mid-century age, but it displays beautifully. The watercolor and mat show expected toning and foxing typical for a 1950s piece—none of which detracts from its charm or display. less
