Great set of Chinese Imperial army figurines! These replica statues were made around the 1960's. They're made of a dark, almost black terracotta clay. The sculptures depict the armies of Qin Shi Huang dynasty, the first Emperor of China. Similar statues were buried with the emperor to protect him in the afterlife. Felted feet have been added to the bottoms for stability. A great little collection to display on your bookshelf!
