The paunch of the flask is sumptuously embellished with painted enamel, featuring jubilant countrymen and women dancing by a table full of people. A landscape is lightly sketched in the background. This scene is probably influenced by Flemish painters. The removable, domed silver stopper is intricately sculpted. Height: 3.9 in (10 cm) Width: 1.8 in (4.6 cm) Austrian silver mark from the late 19th century. Master silversmith mark: R.L., probably for Rudolf Linke. Circa 1880-1890. See less
