This understated design highlights the material and skill of the carver, with its post made of solid oak that has been turned in a classic balustraded form. The oak has been quarter sawn giving it a striated appearance which is sometimes referred to as ‘tiger oak’. A tripodal base made of three, shaped legs elevate the stand for a sense of lightness. One could even use this stand like an easel to display small, framed works. Please view the detailed images to see more. See less
