Antique Chippendale End Table with Burl Elm Top is of a lighter hue than most examples of this type, allowing one to more fully appreciate the incredible natural beauty of the burl veneering on the top and apron. The top is framed with an edge carved with dogwood blossoms alternating with banded wheat motif. Support is provided by four boldly scrolled legs with integral corbels that are carved with birds' heads, stylized shell and gorgeous foliate motifs. Legs are tipped with the classic talon and ball feet.
