Using teak wood in a cutting / serving board provides a very resilient surface while protecting knives from damage. The Grape Carved Teak Serving Platter is finished with food grade mineral oil, a colorless and odorless liquid suitable for items which encounter food. Premium quality Teak is a close-grained hardwood that is known for being one of the hardest, strongest, and most durable of all woods. Beautifully crafted, smooth to the touch and very solid. Suitable for us with non-stick cookware.

Teak wood is hardy but will last longer with a little bit of special care. We suggest that you hand-wash your item with only mild soap and water and dry right away with a soft cloth. If you avoid air-drying teak items or putting them into either the refrigerator or dishwasher they will look better longer.
