This charming bowl depicting seven children is a wonderful example of the work of William C. Alexander (1935-1988). There are few examples of his work available.
He was a talented ceramic artist known for terra sigillata decorated pots. He started his ceramics career in Europe as a potter in Germany and an Apprentice Master in Switzerland. When he moved back to the United States, he helped establish and grow the ceramics programs at Colorado State University and Montana State University.
