Antique Treen Egg, likely crafted from Karelian Birch. A truly refined piece of Victorian Treen!
The surprise inside items are a Miniature Tea Service. In Victorian Era, these were extremely popular conversation pieces in wealthy families.
Quintessential British decorative art. Inside the egg are treen dollhouse miniatures of Teapot,
Chalice Cup, two handled Tureen and two miniature cups. Maple wood in original varnished surface.
Late 19th Century- circa 1880. England origin, with Russian influence.
Perfect for a collector of early woodenware, or as a sophisticated "surprise" object for a desk or shelf!
